passed with a score of 487 (score to pass was 303; mean was 500). Is this score OK??

is it like the USMLE where you have to get a really good score to secure a good residency, or will passing suffice?

i WAS under the impression that just passing would suffice, BUT apparently for matching etc. a higher score is looked on favourably. so if you are going to sit the exams then aim for the best score possible.


also, the exam i sat was quite old. had copyright 2004 on the pages from what i remember. so use question banks if any are out there cos there are bound to be questions floating around somewhere. i didnt use these which was stupid in retrospect and probably adversely affected my score.

true , in order to get residency in canada. a high score on the MCCEE is important. Like if you score in 600 for sure u will get matched..
