3.2 GPA, 34 MCAT.. What should I do?

Do I have a chance at a US medical school? I know I probably dont for a canadian one.. Are there any other options I should consider? Will I have to go to the caribbean?

I was born in Alberta and lived there my entire life, and went to the U of A and finished with a specialization degree in cell biotechnology.

it seems everything I read i get confounding answers..
I really really dont know what is real and what isnt
Some places I hear I have absolutely no chance at a US medical school, some say I do.. some places say the caribbean is my best option, others say to reapply in canada.
But all input received helps so keep em coming

You do not have a shot at a US medical school. It is very competitive as a

foreign student. Your MCAT score is excellent, but your GPA is a bit low.

From what I understand Canada does not have post bacc programs to

boost your GPA. Schools there that I talked to told me to get another

Bachelor's Degree and do better. If you want, you can apply either to a

SMP or take classes to raise your GPA here in the US. Getting into a SMP

will also be difficult because alot of students are applying to these

programs, and once again american students have priority over foreign

students. So in the end, you may want to consider coming to the US and

take some post bacc classes. You will need to boost your GPA to atleast

a 3.9-4.0 to really have a chance of getting into a school.(Remember you

are a foreign student) You will need

to hurry to avoid taking the MCAT again (it's usually accepted for 3

years).

Or you can go to Ross, SGU, AUC, Saba, Sackler, Ben Gurion, or Technion.

because you will deff. get into these schools.

^^ Umm no. Canadian students are considered out of state by the majority of US schools. You have a shot at US schools even with a 3.2 as long as you have decent extracurriculars. You can also do a masters and apply again to US schools at that point. You'll get in then. Although I think your MCAT score is only valid for three years so watch out for that.
