Question toxin that blocks cytochrome xidase

is it cyanide reply yes or no

Yes - Cyanide block Complex 4 (Cytochrome oxidase)... also Carbon monoxide.

The way I remember it:

The word "CyCO" has 4 letters...

Cyanide - blocks Complex 4 (Cytocrhome C Oxidase)
Carbon Monoxide (CO) - blocks Complex 4

1) What blocks ATPase, and would it increase or decrease the proton gradient. why.

DCCD and oligomycin both block the F0 of ATPase and inhibit proton flowing through it. This would increase the gradient as proton is still being extruded out.
