Hi,

I have archived 100% of this forum and the information is stored at http://www.valuemd.com . ValueMD search engine is very powerful and will throughly search through the archive. Please give it a try.

Thank you,
Hanson
I read the following message at the old forum. In order to access the older pages I'm assuming an advanced search is required?

Too bad there seems to be no activity on the new one!

If anyone is currently enrolled at a school in Australia, perhaps you can answer the following question:

I've heard that there is a fair amount of free time available when attending some schools in Australia and there is the possibility of working part time. If you are currently a med student in Oz, perhaps you can confirm or deny this???

I have some more questions but will probably wait until I see some more activity here! Thx.

Agreed! I'd like to know more about the University of Sydney medical program.

Anyone?

Re: Nobody seems to be posting in this forum...

Hey there. I'm checking in from AUS, USYD to be exact. I just found this site from a post on the studentdoctor.net forums. I'm not sure how many people know about this but I'm sure they will soon. Well, I will try to answer your questions but I encourage you to check out this info on the Aussie schools at the other site as well.

Yes there is quite a bit of time you have at USYD, especially in the first year. I was suprised at the number of people that have part time jobs here. Minimum wage here is also the equivalent of about $10 US. Pretty good.

I will try and answer any other questions I can.

Housing

I was wondering if you have some info regarding housing. I didn't really want to live on campus, is it pretty easy to find decent accommodations off campus. Also what do you reccomend we bring with us. I currently live in Canada.

Thanx
