Re: USA
Too all of you on this forum:
1) I would choose Sydney over flinders. It is the oldest and most widely respected University in Australia. It is also the most prestigous one. That being said it depends on what you want to do. If you want to go to the US your best best is Sydney. YOu will love the city...believe me. 2) My second comment is if you really want to do Orthapedic surgery why aren't you considering staying in Australia after graduation? This will not be an easy route as you will require a PR but at least your qualifications will be valid as you have graduated from their school. 3) Your chance of getting into Orthapaedic Surgery in the US are very very slim. That being said after 4-5 hours of dissection you may not even want to do it...but assuming you do I think that your only chance of doing so is to score really high on the USMLEs. 4) If you have completed your residency training in Australia (not an easy thing 2 do without PR/Citizenship) you will be more likely to be able to return to Canada. Since the residency positions here are just as long as or longer than the equivalent Canadian ones. With an American residency position YOU WILL FIND IT VERY HARD TO RETURN TO CANADA. Unless they are the same length! Cheers |
