Hi there. This here is my first post, since ia'm just getting in this deal.
I am a medical student here in Chile, South America. I am currently finishing my 5th year. I'll get my medical Liscense with that. to get to be a MD graduate you have to finish the next two years doing internships on obs/gyn, surgery, pediatrics, and internal medicine. The fifth internship you can choose what to do. it lasts 4 months and i was thinking about spending it in an australian hospital/university. Do you think it would be possible? and a good idea?
As an intern here in Chile you basically practice medicine suppervised by a MD. you also have to take many exams in order to grauate.
And here comes the second part of my question... i was thinking of this (internship in As) becasuse my girlfreind is from Australia and there is a chance we might go to live there. So i want to go and check it out, and see what are the possiblities to get into a postgraduate program (maybe surgery or something related) over there. Is this good idea? what are my chances?
thank you. what i find out here might be important for my future, so i am willing to get any opinion you may have.
