Some courses designed for graduates, some longer courses designed for undergraduates. (not too different from the UK system in that respect). The costs are also very high for anybody who is 'self funding' their studies.

I have also found that the individual university websites are very informative.

i think it is wierd too. Saying that u need an undergraduate degree to apply to a university like sydney and still not end up with a MD in four years?? I personally have nothing against MBBS but it not the same as a MD is it? I am a canadian and it would be way too expensive first of all to pay around $50000 plus every year and then still get marked as an IMG and struggle to compete for residency in countries like US and canada.

Getting back to the original question, i was pondering about applying there too. We need:
a) An undergrad degree.
b) Decent GPA
c) Write the MCAT or GMSAT
Remember these are specific qualifications for sydney cuz thats what i am looking into. Reason why i like them is that there ranking of students for admission is 50% MCAT score and 50% interview score. So you just need a minimum GPA of 3 point something to apply and get an interview. THen it is all upto if u get in or not.
hope this helps.
AJ

If you look up the MD Vs MBBS qualification you will find that in the context you are referring to, an MD from the US/Canada is equivilent to a AU awarded MBBS. Both qualifications are the initial medical qualification.
