I was wondering, besides a laptop, what things should I buy in the US before I come to the island? Also generally how expensive are groceries on SXM?

If a company orders a certain amount of supplies and takes less than they ordered she takes the loss thats why she sells the laptop for the dicounted price she paid for them to cover what she loss
ex:
company a first orders 15 laptops and during the set up of the network company a realizes that they only need 13 then two lap tops are discounted from the expences and added to her overhead. i.e. she takes the loss no stealing involved
For her to only be 22 and have her own business she is doing quite well and does not need any thing. I should know because I've worked with her to meet dead-lines and the person supervising changes thier mind in what the want cause they figuer they don't need extra some times she has to order more cause they did not order enough so it goes both way just thought i should clear that up before u take my sisters integrety into question.
Why send them back if she could supply a laptop to someone who normall could not afford one this way she gets what she paid for and ask before you assume something is stolen cause when you assume you make an ***** of your self
Your writing is very difficult to understand. If she orders the laptops on her own for what she thinks she'll need and then just bills the company for what she actually uses (keeping the extra, which she paid for), then it would not be stealing. However, the far more likely situation is that a company purchases computers which she installs, she doesn't need to use all of them, so she sells the extras. That's stealing and it's a pretty common way to steal too. It's not often that any networking company buys the computers with their money and then sells them to the business.

Macbook Pro 17" asap
....per slevit's presumed advice
(lets let this one go)
Actually, I would (and did) get the 15". The 17" is pretty huge and barely fits in between the lecture hall seats. It's really too big to be carrying around all the time, imo. I've only seen one 17" at the school. The only people I ever sold 17" MBPs to were doing video editing or heavy graphic stuff, almost never students.

Sorry, I was goin for a bit of sarcasm there....
Haven't we discussed this one before? We mentioned the 15'/13' favorably with a definite hold on purchasing because of the imminent updates to MBP line.....
I think his sister might be able to hook us all up with 17"ers though, if we want a secondary notebook!!
I'd wait until the end of the month. You could get one now and still have a great computer. But, the MBP is due to be upgraded very soon and I'd be upset if I missed a major update just to get my computer a month faster.
