Thread: Scooter for Sale: 2008 Piaggio Fly 125cc. $1350

For Sale is My 2008 Piaggio Fly scooter.

I just got insurance and a new plate and I got it inspected. Insurance was $305, Plate was $70, and inspection was $21, and I also bought a new lock ($10). I paid $1000 for the bike itself so I am saving you the trouble of going all the way to philipsburg for an inspection and a new plate and I also knocked a little off of the price. The plate and insurance should last until July 2013. The bike has plenty of speed and power for going up large hills, as I was able to power it over the hill to philipsburg. I believe I got it to a max speed of 50mph, so it is very capable of getting you where you want to go. As for condition of the bike, it looks old and beaten but the previous owner put about $400 of work into it and it runs like a beast, no problems whatsoever and it starts up every time. I am not sure what the exact gas mileage is, but I am guessing it is around 80-100 mpg. A fill-up costs about $8 (according to the previous owner...as I have yet to fill it up).

In addition, I believe that 125cc is the highest you can go without needing a separate license. It is fun to drive and will get you through traffic in Simpson Bay!

Additional items included: Bike chain (with 2 locks), 2 helmets (one for you and one for the lady ), & rain poncho.

Just looking for a faster bike with bigger wheels . I agree with everything slevit said. It is a blast 'scooting' your way around the island and it is awesome speeding by traffic. The other day a friend and I decided to go to philipsburg, he took his Jeep and I took my scooter. There was some pretty bad traffic in simpson bay. It took him about ~1hour to get to philipsburg while I made it there in about 25 min or less.

Scooter is sold PENDING funds.
