Thread: Spare HP Laptop Charger?

Mine died today and I ordered a new one, but it won't be here until next week most likely. If anyone has a spare charger sitting around and wouldn't mind lending it to me, I would really appreciate it.

The charger is this style, rounded with a central pin.

Why does everyone's charger die??? This is so ridiculous!!

I have a Targus 90W Premium Compact charger that I use when out and about as it's thinner and lighter than the HP charger and keep as a backup to my HP charger.

I only have tip L111 over here, which works with my Envy 14 and most other recent generation HP laptops. Go here to check if your model also uses it because some of the older ones use L105/L106: targus dot com/us/tipconfigurator/

If it does use L111, I will loan it to you until your new one arrives. All I ask in return is 1 (one) clean, decent sized, microwave-safe plate. I didn't realize I bought melamine plates and had one nearly explode in the microwave earlier today.

First of all, I have to wipe the drool off my keyboard after you mentioned the Envy 14 (which I'm planning on picking up when I go home). Second, your trade sounds reasonable and I would honor the request as I have a variety of plates to offer. I checked my laptop (Probook 5310m), but it said a charger tip is not available. The L111 might work, but I'm not sure.

I have one other person who offered (people are very generous here), so if for some reason it falls through, I'll be sure to contact you.

HP chargers are notorious for being unreliable, if that helps. I charge off campus with a surge protector, but I used the outlets on campus. Either way, it was probably destined to fail.

Actually 3 guys with dells had their chargers stop working in the past 2 months. What the hell!?!?!
