For sale: SOLD SOLD SOLD
I have had a few people raise interest so I will formally put it up for sale. I provide 2 options for sale (see end)
So what am I selling? What makes it better than any other vehicle on VMD? How safe is it? What are the disadvantages?
I've had a total of 3 vehicles on this island. First was a dirt bike (chinese) that cost me an arm and a leg to fix which only lasted a total of 10 miles (lesson: don't buy Chinese vehicles). Then I had a Suzuki suv, that lasted only 3 months which ended with a wheel and axle breaking in front of the dorms. Finally I had it with buying used and old pieces of junk.
I bought this new from MotoCarib exactly 1 year ago after shopping at a few shops (most are shady) and ended up spending more than I had intended and what other shops were offering based on the fact that this shop was legit.
ATV was broken in properly for about a week and a half (about 30-40 miles). Oil changes were performed by Motocarib every 3 months (next one is due within the month). Back tires were bought in November, front tires are being replaced with the oil change). The place adjusts everything and makes sure the quad was running top notch. Complaints: none, best and most useful thing I ever bought on the island.
What about rain? Well I lived in Point Puroette for a year and I've only been rained on 8 times since living there, in which it was a light sprinkle (a rain jacket is perfectly sufficient). Was never an issue and the fact that it is small enough to fit on a golf course saves me from those monster puddles on the roads.
What are the advantages of a 4wheeler? It is fast (~45mph) enough, it fits between cars, gets me to town faster than anything you can get. Has enough storage for 2 weeks worth of food. By storage I mean the racks, I bought like 2 grand marche bags and a duffel bag (usually I only take 1 of these) and attach it to my quad with bungie cords).
How safe is it? It is perfectly safe as long as you aren't a DB with it. Learn to ride it at normal speeds before you are taking fast turns (tend to flip if you aren't using your body weight/center of gravity).
The prices (below) are real high, you're crazy?: Simply don't buy it, I have plenty of people make offers near that price. Considering the cost of buying a new quad here at retail, add conversion to euros (its not 1:1 at any place i went to), cost of registration and legalization (this was dumb expensive) and insurance/tags for a year (it costs almost what a car costs per year), I would say its more than fair for a 1 year old vehicle that is well kept vs. buying some vehicle passing through 4 previous students that was worked on by a "mechanic" with a wrench.I'm not entertaining lower prices as its too early in the semester for me to get desperate.
Can I test drive it? Only if you are serious. 5th semester is pretty rough
Where are the pics? Below is a stock pic b/c my waterproof camera proved to be not waterproof. If you want to see it, it sits in front of the dorms (needs to be washed, sorry), again if you didn't read anything above, it needs new front tires (I am buying those at the next service).
How can I contact you? lemacfar@gmail.com is the best way to get communication/information/arrangments
Below are the options I present:
