1997 Jeep Wrangler for sale
Selling a 1997 Black Jeep Wrangler. CD player w/ AM/FM radio, excellent working AC. Manual transmission with 78,000miles and recently had engine tune up inspection and oil change. Inspection good through 2009. Asking price is $6000, OBO

$6000 ?
$6000 is high for a jeep of this age, and yes, I know jeeps are popular on the island and I would like to have one. However for $6000 I can find a vehicle half the age and with less mileage.

$6000 is under the blue book value for this car in the US and the value is more on the island. The jeep is 4WD, has oversized tires and no history of any problems. I did say or best offer so i might be able to move the price a bit.

Well can you really blame him for starting high? But, like he pointed out, it does say "or best offer." I'd be surprised if it wound up selling for even $5000 in the end.

This is reasonably priced. Jeeps aren't for everybody.
