Questions about Clinicals at Providence Hospital, MI

Im starting rotations at Providence, MI.

Anyone have any comments on the GI, Nephrology and Pulmonolgy electives?

Are they particularly difficult? (long call hours, weekend call?)

Any suggestions on texts to pick up to prepare for the rotations?

Any tests or exams at the end of the rotations?

Im kinda going in blind, so Id appreciate any tips or advice from anyone whose gone through these rotations

thanks

first come first serve...it's not 'competitive'.

no idea. Nobody has the stats on those.

The clinical coordinator gives u a list of clinical rotations that are available anad you pick from them. Spots come and go all the time. By the time u get to clinicals, things might change and start dates WILL change.

I know thats not the answer u want but that's the only answer there is.

YOU WOULD HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT SLOT(S) OPEN UP!!!!!!!!!

If there are no slots available for an upcoming start date, you have to wait until the next one...and so forth.

Do you maintain your full-time student status while you wait? (for loan purposes)
