Physical - Yes
Titers - No
TB - Yes
So we just have to get the titers done once at the start of clinicals then?

510 points so i spoke with my advisor about this cause i was in the same boat and i was told that everything is required every 12 months including titers. So 3 weeks ago i paid for the physical, titers, and TB shot and once i received the results i sent it over to AUC.
I wish i didn't have to pay for the titers because that was expensive, but is there any other students that got away with just 1 titers that lasted them the 2 years they were in clinicals?
510 points Once you have established immunity there is absolutely NO need to get titers again! The titers prove that you have immunity, and you aren't going to suddenly become non-immune the following year. I got the titers once and I
had one of my attendings fill out a new physical health clearance form after one of my rotations. I had the PPD done three times throughout my rotations, and got those done for free at the occupational health ctrs. from the different hospitals I was rotating at.
Rigglet is right...no need to get titers drawn more than once. I also had the physical done for free (most doctors will just sign it for you) and the PPD done once a year for free by the occupational health office at whatever hospital I was at.

510 points so the titers are hep B, measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella - so no need to pay for that again
physical and TB - i have to renew regardless
what about hep C panel? - i was neg last year, do i have to get screened again?
So what do you put on the page under titer count if you don't get them redone?
On a related note, Why won't AUC issue us a MANDATORY health insurance policy that will cover MANDATORY Titers and Immunizations??! According to the insurance company, the school decides what is covered and what is not covered.
