AUC has NO affiliates with greenbook neuro in NY. The only NY places that may consider you are NSLIJ and possibly Cornell. I'll give you mad "props" if you prove me wrong (I've never given anyone "props" in my entire life).
I emailed the elective guy about greenbook neuro, thinking he could make my search more efficient... here's his response: "It is the student's responsibility to contact rotation spots regarding availability and application procedures. The best starting point for researching rotations is www.acgme.org. This database lists all accredited programs in the country and you can search by state, hospital, or rotation name. I hope this helps!" ^ What the frick? That don't help nobody! The school has 50 state accreditation, they just don't tell you that there are specific requirements for certain states. They can't even give me a short list of greenbook neuro available in other states. Why? Let me tell you... The AUC clinical dept is full of incompetent people. They don't know what they're doing 80% of the time. The 20% when they do something right, it was purely due to chance. Try emailing them or leaving a voicemail. I'm willing to bet that you don't get a response back. You wasted 15 minutes of my study time, I hope you're satisfied. |

georgelucas45 - thanks for the info...disappointing news but like you said, its typical AUC incompetence.
![]() if all my other rotations are greenbook (cores and electives) do you know which states I should exclude from my residency applications for the 2010 match? Sorry if this topic has been beaten to death but I've searched these forums up and down and I feel like I find different answers every time! ps thanks for the 15 min of study time man! |
