Heyy!
I was placed into premed 4 also, but it kind of upsets me because I am currently taking 3 upper level biology courses in progress to make up for lower grades in prereqs and am trying to get As in them. Even if I am placed in extended med 1 I wouldn't mind because I would be taking med school classes. I don't know what is going to happen, but I hope they revisit my placement if they can even do that.

I already got accepted into AUA and I want to go it's just that if I'm already taking courses to increase my science credentials, I was wondering what the likliehood is that they would revisit my placement. I don't mind doing the last premed semester modified which is semester 4 it's just that since I'm already proving it to them, I am hoping that they would put me in at least extended med 1 once I bring them transcripts after these biology and biochem courses are done. Thanks for your input though!

regardless of what courses you are taking or are planning on taking back home AUA put you on Premed 4 to have you prove to them that you are qualified for their med 1 program. they do this to people with low GPA's and bad prereq's. there is no point on having them revisit your application, they did this for a reason.. just stick it out! There is a handful of us this semester doing the same thing!!! WE all applied for MEd 1 but for some reason or another we were set as premed 4! You will get assigned with a big course load, but it is do-able!!! best of luck to ya! let me know how it goes

Actually there may be a reason for the Admissions Committee to revisit placement on a case by case basis particularly if someone in Admissions says there is a reason.

Give us a call for more info.
