Study Area

Where do students in AUA study at?

Dorm? AUA class room? Library?

Does AUA have place for students to study 24/7 that is open? If yes, is it safe to study there at night time? If yes, is there bus from AUA to dorm 24/7?

Where do you study?

i can study pretty much everywhere. the library gets a little hectic during day - a lot of people in there and some people are rude and talk or answer their phone in there. that kind of irritates me but the library extension (new this semester) is another great place to study with a lot of cubicles and usually relatively quiet.

there are also classrooms open to study as well. i believe most places like the library close at 2 but if you really wanted, i think you can stay over night in the student lounge (don't quote me on that).

is it safe? yes...antigua is safe and there are security guards all over campus. the buses run as follow (more or less depending on area)

Pick up from University housing to campus:

7:00 AM and 11:00 AM

Bus from campus to housing:

2:10, 5:00, 8:00 and 11:00 PM

That it? Those are the time for buses? What if I need to go back to my dorm during noon to get my books, must I walk, get a ride from a friend?

The bus timings are a huge improvement from the way it was when I was there. I wish there was a 11 AM going to and 2 PM coming back bus, back then.

first of all, you don't need to go back to housing to get your books. buy a big book bag.

the new study place is as i mentioned, the library extention. it looks like a big white room with a bunch of wooden cubicles in the middle and tables along the wall.
