I would like to inform those who are interested of an available 4-week elective in Orthopaedic Surgery at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, MD. This elective is available to all students who have previously completed surgery core rotation. Though Sinai Hospital is not an official affiliated hospital listed on the AUA clinical list, many students have rotated through this hospital from AUA, and there are AUA graduates who are currently employed by the hospital. This is a great opportunity to get exposure to a hospital who has taken AUA graduates for residency in the past, and an ability to possibly acquire other elective rotations at the hospital through the Medical Education office. This 4 week rotation will be under the supervision of Dr. Harpal S. Khanuja and Dr. Michael A. Mont, both of whom are Johns Hopkins University Fellowship-trained Adult Reconstructive surgeons. They serve as Directors for the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopaedics and the Center for Joint Preservation and Reconstruction, respectively. Previous AUA students have been able to involve themselves in ongoing research projects and some have been included as authors on publications that have been submitted and/or accepted for publication and presentation at both national and international orthopaedic conferences. Interested and qualified applicants may contact me for any further inquiries and clarifications.
Forward all inquires to qnaziri@gmail.com.
