ACGME vs AOA rotations

From anyone's experience with AUA, AOA rotations and ACGME rotations--when applying for residency, will it make a difference of what rotation you do? I don't think AUA has many AOA accredited rotations-most are ACGME approved right? Why offer the AOA accredited rotations then? Is it because some states do not care? I know there are some strict states and it comes into play when you apply for residency in some places.....i know acgme is related to greenbook...what about aoa? if i am offered an aoa accredited rotation from aua, should i take it? If anyone has any info on this, i'd love to hear it. thanks to all!

Call up the individual state boards and ask their opinion on this question. The ones I have spoken to don't care as long as there is an approved AOA rotation. I do want to reiterate though that there is a huge difference in obtaining a temporary license for residency and a permanent license for practice outside of residency. These issues typically wont arise until after you're done with residency and applying for a permanent license

Oh ok, so the restrictions may be different when you are applying for a permanent license, dependent on the state right? i didn't realize the temporary license guidelines would differ from the permanent license...
