Tuition Clarification

So I think I've misunderstood how our tuition is taken care of at our school during clinicals.

I was under the impression that it was done per credit hour completed. This makes sense since our school can't stick us into greenbook sites back to back which leaves us with gaps that can or can not be fill with electives (most of which require an IM pre req).

However I've been informed that this isn't the case, we are in fact charged PER MONTH even if we're not in a rotation and saaaay - sitting around waiting for our next one to start because the hospital decided last second to move the start date back a month.

Can someone clarify this for me before I get really upset and call financial aide and make a fool out of myself.

thanks.

every 16 weeks that u actually rotate (not counting breaks) counts as an academic semester for billing. in order words, you are not billed for time spent not rotating. went to the ny office about 8 months ago and clarified this with my clinical adviser at the time.

(hope nothing has changed in the last couple months)

You are right Sree we pay 5 times during clinical to cover 75 weeks and get our bills q 15 weeeks. The only impact of the rotations is that u may get the bills and loans late if you are going fast on rotation and early if you taking breaks. Any problems call the bursar he is very good and understands well.
