Surgery at Richmond Hospital in Statin Island, NY

Has anyone heard anything about the surgery rotation at Richmond Hospital? Also, is the hospital greenbook? Thanks

Dont know experience wise about the hospital.

If you want to know if its Greenbook, theres a thread like 3 or 4 down that lists them all out and tells you how to look up any others you may be curious about.

yes its greenbook thru St. Vincent's. If you are going - let me know 'cos i have a great apt. that is available as my rotations is ending at the end of this month. 917-423-5499

I heard that the chair of the program at Richmond is leaving and is being replaced by another physician... Now they will no longer have any residents rotating through the hospital... Does this affect it being a Greenbook rotation??? From what i understood... The current chair who is leaving had the connect with St.Vincents... I am not sure if that is going to be the case and if there is still going to be an affiliation.. Does anyone have the latest scoop lol???

Affiliation doesn't always depend on residents. As long as its listed on paper as being accredited, it is. Keep checking acgme.org to see if it is updated.
