To do rotations in Puerto Rico, do you have to be fluent in Spanish?

wait, is OBGYN not greenbook at wycoff?
Quote:
Wyckoff hospital isn't listed on the acgme website for OBGYN
It is green. Go to acgme.org/adspublic, search for Ob/Gyn programs in NY, and look under the entry for New York Medical College (Brooklyn-Queens) Program.

I think a lot of people in PR speak English, but whether you rotate in NYC, Michigan, Illinois, Baltimore or PR, it pays to know the Spanish translations of frequently used medical terms and phrases. Finally, every hospital has English-Spanish translators.

wyckoff its going good, they gave us a bunch of days off cuz there's some big jcaho inspection and they dont want med students around to mess it up for them
but other than that rly nice rotation, i opted to do half my rotation at st. johns queens cuz its closer to home and they teach rly well over there, hours are nice too 8am - noon, one overnight call in three weeks, 20 question exam at end

peds is by far the best rotation at wyckoff, according to people who did eveyrthing here

Nevermind, just found it under Brooklyn Hosp. Center....

How about Peds at Wyckoff? On gatornation's list, it's listed as being greenbook, but on the ACGME website it's not.

yeah like you said, its green through brooklyn hospital
there's like 95845849085490 students competeting for a spot in this rotation every 6 weeks so I'm confident that it is accredited.

yeah - st elizabeths is the only greenbook site and it takes only 1 student ever 6 weeks. I scheduled mine a year from now. It's that booked. (sometimes you can get lucky though and an earlier spot will pop up - that happened with me and a may spot, but it conflicted with surgery)

Im currently in the last semester at KMC-IC and thinking of joining the 5th semester in michigan, baltimore, or miami in sept, but have very little info available about it in India. Can someone brief me on it pls and how the selection process is as well as how many seats are available at each of the locations above etc... also What are the advantages of attending a "greenbook" rotation as opposed to "blt book?" Thanks
