What's the wait time for other clinical sites? Is it only NY that has a waitlist to start?

I have no idea...yesterday they said I would be off to Derby Conn. Then today they told me it was full. I can not even keep track of what they are doing up there.

If Derby Conn is full did they schedule you in somewhere else?

Is yours an isolated incident or are others experiencing delays due to shortages? How deep does this problem go?

Plenty of students have. I'd say that the number one reason that students rotate at non-Green sites is because they simply don't know the difference or the consequences of doing so. Some are absolutely sure that they plan to practice in a state with a lenient medical board, and therefore don't care. A small minority have families and can't deal with a nomadic lifestyle.

If you don't know what a Greenbook rotation is, I recommend doing some research. If you do, educate a friend!

You would think that the school has a responsibility to inform it's students about the importance/significance of green rotations. It could even be argued that there was a breach of contract if the school is advertising approval in certain states and at the same time offering students non-green sites without informing students of the significance of accepting such a rotation.

Sree - OBGYN at harbor is only for st. matthews.

When I tried to contact my advisor (STILL HAVE NOT TALKED TO HER ON THE PHONE) the other advisor TL called me trying to get me into IM at some random site in NY she needed to "fill up". I asked her if she was aware that I was currently at Harbor Hospital doing IM and she had no clue. Then I asked her if the rotation she was trying to put me into was greenbook since I've only requested greenbook rotations AND SHE SAID SHE DIDN'T KNOW.

Point of the story is I tried to get into franklin and she told me I had to wait till juneish. How can the site be full after it just went up a couple days ago.

AUA NEEDS MORE COMPETENT STAFF or MORE staff members who know what greenbook rotations are, who call you back when you leave them 20+ messages, who answer their messages, and who KNOW WHAT ROTATION YOU'RE IN AND DON'T JUST TRY TO "FILL UP" their sites.

I'm highly annoyed with AUA and would tell current prospective students to stay away if they're trying to transfer in. I'm not happy with my school, and I'm one of those rare few students that started school with them in med1.

My personal experience is I get email responses from my advisor(TL) the same day or within a day, phone messages take longer to get answered.
