Thread: The best decision I ever made....

I transferred to AUSOM from another Caribbean medical school and found the change to be more than worth every penny! Speaking of pennies, there are no other charges for useless projects, students completing your registration or a library with no books.

The teachers here at AUSOM speak ENGLISH, which is extremely helpful. They are continually giving us clinical vignettes for classroom discussions and test questions. Tests are all designed to prepare every student for the USMLE from day 1. Usually following each test, the professor goes over the test and allows us to discuss our answers......something my last school was not willing to do for the class. During this session, the professors are willing to answer any questions and help us better understand the correct answer.

The admin of the school are here for every student and their goal is to help us succeed. There has not been one request from student's denied from the admin. This takes all the extra pressure off of being a medical student.

As far as St Lucia, it's a beautiful country with some of the most talented and nicest people you will ever meet.

So, what are you waiting for????????? Better education is hrer in the Caribbean for an affordable cost that is determined to help you reach your goals!

Because of this blatant advertising no one will (ok I def won't and I'm sure a lot won't either) take this post seriously as it appears to be from administration or the like. Also you only have 2 posts. To those reading this beware of the administrators who pose as students. Make sure to attend established schools with approvals in the US and residency match lists. Ultimately residency is the goal here.

I am in the same class with meddoc2013. And yes, residency and medical practice is our goal and that is why we are at Atlantic Uni.

I know he's a student too but definitly sounds like admin, class reps always seem to be the biggest cheerleaders....

I am a student learning medicine from the best professors, mr / ms "medic300107". I encourage you to shadow a real medical student. I felt compelled to post a response because I felt that a student's voice should be heard. For instance, when I was at Windsor I could not compete with the Tampa newspapers and FBI records.

Future medical students should do their homework, visit schools, and talk to real students. This is something AUSOM offers....take advantage and call the school. I don't even mind calling you or giving you a tour! I will be there to shake your hand and greet you with a smile.

WOW...medic300107, you will be taking your step in a few weeks yet you sound very bitter and have time for lots of negative posts. Might I suggest again that you focus on your upcoming step.
But if you do have extra time on your hands to come here and vent your "study frustration" on our forum then please by all mean...use us as your punching keyboards 'cos I'll hate to hear that you are another Carib med sch student statistic aka...Failing your step!!!
