Chinese medical degrees under scanner

Chinese medical degrees under scanner

Providing recent instances of Indian students being duped by Chinese medical colleges offering cheap degrees, Indian diplomats have been warning students about pursuing medicine courses in China. Lack of infrastructure and proper curriculum, absence of an English-speaking faculty in several Chinese medical colleges has been a cause for complaint. Also, diplomats claim that the Chinese MBBS degrees are not recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI).

The Indian ambassador to China, Nalin Surie, indicated that the Indian embassy has taken the matter up with the concerned Chinese medical authorities as well as the Ministry of Education. Tianjin Medical University in Tianjin, Three Gorges University in the Hubei province and, Xingxian University in Henan province are three institutions that many Indian students have enrolled in.

i would just like to add this ...if a potato is rotten it spoils all the potatoes.if a medical college i s lack of infrastructure and lack of english speaking faculties you cant say chinese colleges are bad and this and that.only a few collegges are as said above and they are spoling the name n fame of other universities too.many colleges n universities have good and may be better than one indian medical college infra structure and teachers are teaching in america and other foreign countries..so cant blame teachers are bad.

its just a few colleges bad.next the students from china dont have good knowledge do u know why?????????????/

they dont study well n enjoy their life in china.they think they are away from home n do as they wish.a student from china if u ask him and if he put his hand on his heart he will say he is bad in educational field due to his own lack of hard work a medical student in india studies how many hours and how many does he study ask him.if say true he will say less than a hour a day...so whose fault is it.dont blame college but chek the students themselves.before coming china does the student have self estimatyed is he ready to study medicine.?he should think abt that himself.

i will not say more .......one who is experienced and seen this problem will agree with me rest i dont care..

Well DrTintin, you may say that trhe MedCouncilIndia accept russian degrees as a primary medical qualidication, but look at your schools current situation with the GMC of england, a lot can change in a year or two, maybe your degree will be accepted all over the globe, but if the GMC say no to letting some russian grads into the UK, other countries are bound to follow.

I am a first year student at Tianjin Medical University, i am in the 5.5 MBBS program, So far the teachers are great and can speak good english, The Senior students have said that the teaching in the higher classes is very good and teachers can speak english very well, Tianjin is the 3rd biggest city in china it is an hour from Beijing, it is a ver modern city with everything you need. There is no need to get an agent, you can apply directly to the school, Tianjin is a nice city and the campus is very modern with 5 hospitals. There are many students from all over the world that study here: Middle east, Africa, America, Australia, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, and there are a few from the Eurpoean Countries. The school is listed by the WHO, and IMED.

Also if you are from America, if you contact the school they will tell you need to go through a paticular agent, this is not true there are students here from america who have applied directly, there is no need for an agent
