Hi, Can somebody tell me what is the Best school for Medicine in the Philippines?I want to know the tuition fee also per sem in PESO please, i want the affordable one.I'm looking ahead for De La Salle Dasma,FEU, Fatima University,Manila Doctors College, and University of Sto. Thomas.Do all that school need NMAT?where can i find the Review Center for NMAT?And their EXAM DATE?Because I'm working here in Canada right now,but it's really my ambition to be a Doctor in my country Philippines.I need ADVISE for this matter,Please?I already a Registered Pharmacist in the Philippines,and I'm 25 yrs old.

There is not one but many very good schools in the Phiippines. Your best source of information are the websites of the schools. Anyone can tell you anything but the most reliable, official and first-hand information is direct contact with the school.

You risk the possibility of getting the wrong information by relying on anyone else telling you.

As many here will tell you, school is what you make out of it and it will depend on your effort to succeed. Since you got your premed degree in the Philippines then most schools there have about the same range of tuition cost. FEU might be the more reasonable one (I know that Fatima and UST are more expensive) but usually they range from 70-80K pesos per semester. If you are looking at cost benefit, I would put FEU, then De La Salle, then UST. Manila Doctors does not have a medical school (it's a Nursing school).

Don't be fooled by school "rank". Make sure the teaching style, student environment, and the location all fit with your personal study habits and ambitions. You might be better off being in top 10 percent of the class at a mid-range school, than at the bottom 10% of UP-Manila.

As for the NMAT, any MCAT prep materials will prepare you for the science portion. For the logic portion, get the sample NMAT questions, then go to your local book store (especially in Canada), and find similar questions in the games and puzzles / braintwisters section. For the english portion, i can't offer much advice - verbal has always been my strong suit in SAT/MCAT, but on the NMAT some of the vocabulary was rather... well, maybe since you are from the Philippines you'll have an easier time with that one!

The so-called ranking are meaningless if you are trying to practice in North America. Those are for local consumption or their local boards.
As for NMAT although all school will require it, there is not much pressure as there are very few schools with a strict NMAT cutoff. It does not mean the med school is easy (it's actually involves hours of grueling studies) but you'll get in somewhere regardless of scores.
