I graduated from UERM and every time they are asked to fill out a form confirming that I was graduate of that school (for state licensure and hospital privileges) they filled it out and returned it promptly. I didnt even have to call them to remind them. UERM has many graduates in the US so they are used to receiving all sorts of requests. It absolutely helps to be a graduate from UERM or UST, where a lot of Filipino doctors practicing in the U.S. studied medicine.
I was wondering, why are there not a lot of UP Manila doctors here? Hmmm..that's sort of weird since they claim to be the best, and I think they are, in terms of local board passing rates (which is
not an indicator for success in passing the u.s. boards). I highly doubt they're any better than graduates from "other" med schools.
