thank GOD and thanks to you all on VMD for your support. now its time to wait a few days for my actual score report to see how i scored. this oasis trick was really helpful in that im not gonna have a heart attack while opening the letter now.
(ps- while opening the oasis site, i measured my heartrate to be close to 130-140 bpm).

dont you like that second screen that no one tells you about where after you log in you expect it to have that red screen show up but then it makes you choose which exam you want to sign up for.....my stomach dropped at that screen and then i almost screamed out loud at 2am when i went to the next screen.....
btw congrats, go enjoy some time but dont do what i did and not study for 3 months.....you'll eb amazed at how much you'll forget

dont you like that second screen that no one tells you about where after you log in you expect it to have that red screen show up but then it makes you choose which exam you want to sign up for.....my stomach dropped at that screen and then i almost screamed out loud at 2am when i went to the next screen.....
btw congrats, go enjoy some time but dont do what i did and not study for 3 months.....you'll eb amazed at how much you'll forget

I just talked to Victor Hidalgo today and he said that there is only one spot left for Michigan, if thats still where you are planning to go. So, get on it!!! I guess I am stuck in NYC, damnit. Im an Ohio boy that grew up in the suburbs, I dont know if Im cut out to live in NYC. I'll prolly get raped, mugged, and sold one of those taxi driver seat cushions in the first five minutes after I get there. :mad: D'OH
oh well, better to have a spot in the US than spend one more minute living in another country.

are you sure, because i dont think enough people in my class took step 1 to fit into all those slots (let alone want them 1st choice). are you sure that he wasnt making a projection for your class? i cant imagine many from the previous semester before me would have waited practically a year for those slots and got left back a year for the match.
in any case, i have to wait until i have the paper in my hand. i wish i could print the oasis red paragraph for him, but i know he would laugh.

No, it wasn't projected, it was actual. Because I have been in contact with him since last semester trying to find out what I can do to try to snag a spot there. He said, "sorry, there's only one spot open and I can't hold it for anyone". Either way, good luck!

I actually did a screen capture of the oasis screen and sent that to him. He was nice enough to tell me to call him and discuss the spots available. but he couldn't put down my name anywhere as he didn't have the "real" score. He said to fax the step 1 score sheet to him once I got it and he could write me down for whichever one I decided.
(btw, most of my friends got their score sheets friday/saturday.)

Does calling and harrassing the guy really help? I mean, if it really is first come first serve whenever you get your score in, what is the point of calling him before that happens? Just wondering if I should be lobbying for a clinical spot right now. I don't get it.

I was calling to see if there was a point of trying to rush home and take Step I before everyone else so I might have a shot at a Michigan spot. Thats why. You can do whatever you want.

unfortunetely, i have not received them yet. good ole presidents day threw a wrench in my master plan. :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: (at least mail wasnt getting delivered to anyone in the country today so i was not losing any ground in the "race" :lol:)
tommorrow will be another day at the "box".
its killing me because im fighting for that last MI spot. i guess ill get shipped off to micro-anen land if i miss the last providence spot. ANYTHING but new york will be a present for me :p .
