I have really bad test anxiety... and am wondering how some of you who took the exam did to relax for the exam. Thank you....

I didn't. I was up til 6:30 am trying to go to sleep, and when I finally did, it was time to wake up. I was one giant pulse that night. Even my patella had a pulse. It was the worse anxiety I've ever had/heard of. Good luck.

I would suggest checking into a hotel room that afternoon... Turn off your cell... get a little something to eat and just chill out. Don't call anyone... don't take any books- it'll just provoke staying up too late. If you can't sleep, just lay there with your eyes closed. Deep breathing and resting that way is second only to real sleep. I also took about 4 long hot showers and just lounged around in a robe. Whatever you do, don't give in and wake up... you'll need some charge on your battery.
The next morning, have a light breakfast and no more than one cup of coffee. There's nothing like feeling your bladder expand while trying to crush out another block.
I also suggest taking a short break for some water/soda/juice and a bite of some snack between every block. I've used peanuts for every exam so far... my wife in an M&M woman. It helps break the tension. Also, remember your brain needs glucose. I also tossed in a life-saver for neuro-fuel before going back in.
When you're taking the test, wear the most comfortable old thing you own... some sandals and sweats work well... I'd also wear a shirt under in case you get hot/cold. Personally, I don't give a crap what anyone thinks, so I took my step 1 and CK in pajama bottoms and an oversized t-shirt. Ladies... skip the make-up and get an extra 5 min of sack time.

I'm not a coffee drinker or a caffiene drinker or a candy eater.. but I'm going to try what you said.. even now before the exam; this is so that I can have a better idea of what works for me; never thought about the lifesavers.. sleep has never been a problem, but the getting up in the morning has been difficult.. (I will start by drinking a small cup of coffee or coke in the morning); Thank you for your ideas...
