January pre-med... 1 month and counting!!!!

Hello All,

The time is near! 1 month left before we start Jan premed 1. Are there any last minute tips prior to arrival on Nevis? Clothes, kitchen utensils, food, bedding, anything else? Should we have started anything in our textbooks yet? This is a big one.... can we get faster than phone dial up in our apartments? ALSO... are there any research/shadowing opportunities while on Nevis? Any info will help! January pre-med 1's pm me if you get a chance.

hello there,

you can get kitchen utensils here. i believe they are stainless steel quality. there are numerous grocery stores here too but bring something that is rather rare, or would be rare on a small island that you cant live without. they also sell bed sheets here although i did bring my own. you can only get faster than dialup on the other side of the island. hopefully we will be getting ADSL here but theres no certainty. there are no research facilities on campus but there will be once the clinic is constructed.
