oxidant drugs such as sulfa drugs (also dapsone in tx of leprosy and primaquine in tx of malaria) is the most common precipitant of hemolytic episodes in G6PD deficiency.

also look for fava beans for mediteranean variant in question stem for clue as precipitant.
