i think they're talking about hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. the give away is the young athelete with asymmetrical interventricular septal hypertophy, but other normal findings. this dz is auto dom so my guess is c. the obstuction of blood flow is due to the anterior leaflet of mitral valve being drawn against the intervent septum by venturi effect (neg vacuum when blood passes). see pics
