Does anyone have any information about obtaining a limited license in the state of Massachussetts for residency? Is it possible from graduating from a school in St. Kitts/Nevis? I interviewed at two residency programs in the state of Massachussetts and not sure whether or not to rank them because I haven't been able to find any alumni from any St. Kitts / Nevis schools in residencies in Massachussetts. I called the state and they told me that they do not discriminate and and read the website which was not helpful, but i have heard rumors it may be risky and therefore do not know what to do. Any information or suggestions?

I am not sure about the requirements in MA but when I did research about carribean grads I found many carribean grads in MA,like few from CA unapproved schools ,one currently the dir FP at Boston Univ, one in pulm fellowship at tufts, also anthesio at Brig women[harvard],If they get it and the laws have not changed I think you should be able to do it.
my advise if you have the standard credentials and good med education to go to Boston[the Mecca of medicine],you will be in good shape for the rest of your career, your collegues in the future will not say carribean grad but boston[like tufts or harvard for example]trained....I did have the opportunity to train in Boston 20 yrs ago but I took less expansive city and I regret it.
good luck
