Flight ticket Question: one way!

Is it possible to buy one way ticket to SXM? and if so how do you do this? im having trouble buying an airfare ticket one way.

About 2 years ago I bought a one-way to Nevis that went thru SXM. They told me I couldnt, but I did. Maybe they have tightened up?

I did last August. I just booked it though one of the on-line services, no problem. There was (then) some static about having to buy a ticket off the island, and some about American Airlines forcing people to buy a ticket at the last minute, neither concern was well founded.

My plan, btw, if I had to buy a ticket at the last minute was to buy a full-fare ticket, and then cancel it for a full refund later.

We went through US air and then Winair. Try expedia.com. There is a link where you click one way or round trip.

I remember a letter that the school had explaining that I was going to live and study there. I just showed that and then they backed off me about the return ticket. I had bought a one way online, but when i got to the ticket desk in San Juan, they started throwing a fit. Either that or you just buy the return for your next break....

Well i had to pay a bit extra but I got the ticket for 2way. Arriving in SXM on the 27th of april and departing on dec 17th 2006. woo hoo!

You probably wont believe this, but when I booked through expedia.ca 3 years ago, my one way ticket was from Buffalo to Saba... with a stop in San Juan and St. Marten but I actually purchased the online ticket all the way to saba... I thought that was remarkable after arriving on Saba!!!
