Hi There,

I am new to this forum and this is my 1st post so please forgive me for asking these questions that must have been asked to death!

I have started (again) considering on going to either SABA or AUC. I have my ** w/ all my pre-reqs taken except for Phys II and OChem II. I haven't taken the MCAT and my overall GPA is hovering at ~3.0. Most of my pre-reqs were taken from 1993-96, do any of you know if there is a statute of limitations for pre reqs? Also, I noticed that the MCAT is not req'd @ SABA but encouraged to be taken. Is it generally a "required" thing in order to gain acceptance? Could any students tell me how successful former students are in their residency matches, particularly at SABA? Where do SABA students typically do their Clinicals (semesters 6-9)? Lastly, how much does a SABA student expect to spend for his/her 3.25 yr investement?

THANK YOU in advance!!!

Dear Stagger Lee, Your cum is good enough for Saba. If I were you because of their clinical situation you better stick with saba and not AUC. Saba, Ross, St. Georges, and even St. Christophers should be above AUC or your consideration list. Go to AUC and talk to students, I did and was not impressed by student satisfaction, cost of living on St. Marteen, Crime on St. marteen (where the students live) and extremely unimpressed by the way the home office treated me over the phone and entertained my questions. This is my personal opinion. And to boot if you are not careful you could be doing the majority of your clinical rotations in England and for your information many residency programs if not most want at a minimum 6 months of US clinical experience and in most cases 1 to 2 years of US clinical experience. Go to a foreign school that guarantees your core rotations in the United States, this advice will serve you well and you will avoid headaches down the road.

Sincerely, Scott C Jones DC MS IV (7 weeks to graduation and counting :) )

I have a sick mind. But I just read the sixth word of that post and the sentence it was embedded in and I completely thought of something else! Maybe you ought to think about that abbreviation before you use it again.
