1) Where does SABA stand as far as the course work resources including the old exams and lecture notes are concerned?
2) How does Saba promote a healthy learning environment among students? Is there any academic policy regarding the availability of course material(including the lecture notes and sample exams)?
I am not expecting SABA to be anywhere near to these schools. Here are some links.

How does Saba protect the innocents who are not well connected and do not have "friends" on-campus. This is the idea in other schools to make the course material(including old exams) available for everyone. Absence of such material causes academic dishonesty(http://saba.edu/forms/ag.pdf) (http://saba.edu/forms/ag.pdf). It seems that SABA has tried to address the effect and not the cause of the problem.
Best Regards,
Mark
PS: I have noticed a fierce hostility in response to my postings. Instead of addressing the issues, the defenders of SABA(and other Carribean schools become extremely agitated. After all, you all will be striving for Clinicals in the US. No excuse for sub standard education and misleading facts. Come Clean.

Since almost all testing is now computer based, it is almost impossible for anyone to have "friends" with current tests. Availability of old tests varies with each professor. Most of mine held onto their tests, though some did give us sample questions and reviews which helped us to gauge the general difficulty of an impending exam.
Overall, most professors take pains to make sure testing is fair. Academic honesty is taken very seriously.
While the school does not maintain any sort of interactive educational website. PowerPoint lectures from prvious semesters are usually openly and freely available from the class ahead of you. Of course, the lectures often change a bit, especially if someone new is teaching the course. Again, most of my professors tried to make the current lecture available prior to class.
Best of Luck!

Thank you for moderating and answering my questions.
Muddy answers do not help at all. I expect an overall view not what was on your exam or your test. I am expecting classes to be very hectic and how would one find time to go and ask for course material and old exams from senior students specially if you don't know anyone on the Island. Thank you for your time though.
Mark.
PS: Is there any rule for using profanity or expletive deletive that I received in resposne to my posting.

Hey Dude (Mark)
Have been following the tone and language used in your posts. I must say based only on these posts you appear to be an extremely self-centred, selfish and the most egomaniacal person I have "met" on this forum.
Are you sure you want to become a doctor and SERVE mankind?
I would encourage you to undergo some soul searching and contemplate if your view of the world is slighly distorted.
Cheers and don't take this too hard - just offering up some free advice.
Daktari.

Daktari,
Do you have answers to the questions in my original post?

folks, flaming is not permitted here. If you dont like the tone of a post, you can try to be helpful or simply do not reply. Similarly, if seeking advice, remember: others are here to help you and of their own volition. An unwarrented challenge to defend themselves/their school will not go over well.
Daktari,
Do you have answers to the questions in my original post?
Mark
Mark,
You should consider going to New Zeland. They have good med-schools there,

SERVE MANKIND if I am better trained. That's all. My tone might give a wrong impression to most but I have these serious questions. Recently, I took on course in data acquisition (in biomedical engineering setting) and I did not let the Instructor slip slide away without giving me the proper knowledge and the information that I expected from him. I made him finish whatever he promised. Yes. You all will hate me in the beginning but you will find out that I am a very serious student and I plan whatever I want to do.
Alles Liebe

Markkeep in mind that [a major] part of medical school is the socialization. Use the opportunity not just to learn facts but to learn how to get what you need in a productive way. If you can get to the point that you dont need (or are happy enough) to say "you will all hate me first" you will make major strides. If not, a non patient and clinic 9(e nursing etc)-related field better suits these folks.
