I understand you are from Fountain Hills. That is where I lived when I did my one month elective at Mayo. Are you also a chiropractor?. Fountain Hills was absolutely beautiful. I was there about a week when I realized that AZ was where I was going to do a residency regardless of what hospital as I applied to all of them. If you see this post please email me at MrScottyMD@aol.com as I would like to ask you a few questions. I am currently working with a realtor and looking for homes in Northern Scottsdale and Fountain HIlls and could use your opinion. With regards to your question about chiropractic I may have switched from DC to MD but I will absolutely use manipulation and PT in my office. This is why Family Practice was a natural fit for me because in essence my DC degree will be my Fellowship (pseudo fellowship if you will) Manipulation is a valuable modality and has its place in health care. Its ironic that if an MD or DO manipulates its a legitimate practice but if a chiropractor manipulates it is perceived by many as quackery. Chiropractors dont get the respect they deserve but the problem is that there are a good number of chiropractors who get involved in some wacky stuff which gives the profession a bad name. I have to be honest I got tired of the perception and that was definitely one of my driving forces to get my MD. I will absolutely however use MD and DC after my name and will market myself as both once out in practice. Please email when you can. Scott
