i heard a talk saying that the medical board of Cali is made of a decent portion of non-doctors who have a say in quite a bit of stuff going on. Sort of like AZ ;)

So you're implying you have pull in both AZ and cali? ;) Well, I once saw Arnold in person dancing on a piano in Mexico. Does that count?

Why not... He doesn't just dance for anyone right He danced for all of us in the bar at the El Presidente in Mexico City...of course he was enjoying the tequila as were the audience and the beautiful woman he was dancing with on top of the grand piano....a night to remember......AZ gov. (Gov Janet) is much more sedate.

Hi:

I am not an expert on California, but Pat Park is. However, I can answer a few simple questions for you. First, make sure that your school is recognized by California, that's the most important issue. If your school isn't recognized, than you have a serious problem!

California requires a total of 72 weeks of Clinicals. And 40 of those hours must be in the core clinicals, with a minimum of the following:

(1) 8 weeks instruction in Surgery
(2) 8 weeks instruction in Medicine
(3) 6 weeks instruction in Pediatrics
(4) 6 weeks instruction in Obgyn
(5) 4 weeks instruction in Family Practice
(6) 4 weeks instruction in Psychiatry

These are all minimums. They only add up to 36 weeks so you will need 4 more weeks spread out in the above core requirements!

To determine if you have completed the necessary requirements, you will need to apply for licensure and have the California medical board review your transcripts. Go to the follwoing site:

Medical Board of California - Licensing Process (http://www.medbd.ca.gov/Applicant_Addl_info.htm)

If you have more specific questions, ask Pat Park. She visits this site often. She is very nice and quite knowledgeable. Again, the most important factor here is that your school be on California's approved list.
