I recently applied to saba for the september class of 2006 and did not get in. I felt like I had pretty good shots with my stats and am a now regretful for not applying to the january or may class instead of september. Im wondering if I should try to reapply for a term that isnt so full already or if I just dont have high enough stats. I have a bachelors in molecular biology from university of colorado boulder with 2.75 overall, but a little higher science gpa. I currently also work at the university of colorado SOM as a researcher. I also took the mcat but only got a 27R. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

Did you get an interview?
Typically in the past, students that get rejected for the Sept. semester after a satisfactory interview are automatically looked at for the Jan. or May semesters. Did you ask if your application will be looked at for admission for Jan. or May?
Have you considered applying to MUA on Nevis, which is run by the same people that run Saba? Did Saba offer to forward your application to MUA-Nevis? Some students from here actually transfer over to MUA sometimes as it is a very nice island and is said to be very good, I'd go there myself, particularly if I had trouble getting into Saba.
Ask them what you specifically can do to improve your chances of acceptance; perhaps you could talk to the people who interviewed you (if you got an interview)? When I interviewed I got the interviewers phone numbers and they encouraged me to call if the need arose. If you did not get an interview, perhaps something was incomplete in your file?

I actually didnt even get an interview. I think what happened is that they didnt get one of my letters of recommendation until about the 20th of December, which is probably pretty late. They didnt offer any reasons, so on monday Im going to call the gardner administration and ask some questions. But about MUA Nevis, they said they forwarded my app to the nevis admissions people. The problem with MUA is that a graduate cant practice in all 50 states. Am I wrong about this? It seems strange too considering its run by saba.

Yes, that is correct. It takes time for a new school to get approval by different states. Saba started earlier than MUA and hence is approved by more states...

Call Gardner. Ask them what you can do to strengthen your app. Could be your timing was off a bit. MUA, in my opinion, is a good option as well unless you want to practice in California.
Definitely give Saba a call.
Best of Luck!
