Hi everyone,

I am also concerned about my chances of being accepted. I have a Bachelors degree in Biochemistry. I graduated in 1994 with a 2.75 GPA. I am currently taken classes in a two-year college and have maintained a 4.0 GPA. I am wondering if they will accept my science classes from my first degree considering that its been ten years since I graduated. I will appreciate suggestions. Is it late to apply for May of '06?

Thanks

I replied on the other thread and you should apply for May and your new science grades are MUCH more important.

Salutations "momof3boys":

Wow, it seems that you have come a long way since your undergraduate days. I applaud you for having the motivation to pursue medicine, especially if you have 3 boys as your screen name suggests. In either case, I would assume that Saba will be looking more at your current abilities (as well as grades) and thus place more emphasis on them when making their decision. There should not be any problem with them accepting your science courses from your undergraduate years. As to the availability for the May 2006 semester, you should call up the Gardner office to inquire as they will know. Good luck in applying. Ciao.

Mom, I graduated (**, Engineering) in 1974. I got accepted, with current bio and o-chem classes (I took the bio because I wanted to, and the O-chem because I had to).

All you can do is try, and succeed. Sure, it costs $50 or whatever the application fee is, but if the idea of being a physician is what wakes you up at night, it's cheap at the price.

Good luck!
