The break has been great! I am working for a little extra cashola and shadowing a family medicine doc. It's been an awesome experience -- with him this week, I have seen over 75 different patients so far -- and I have learned a lot. It's in a somewhat rural setting -- a lot of HTN, CHF, diabetes, dyslipidemia/metabolic syndrome, GERD, sinusitis/pharyngitis, lots of comorbid psych issues -- some less common stuff, ie, herpes, thrombophlebitis, gastritis, cellulitis, renal insufficiency, etc. So far, so good. I could still use another few weeks!

I was able to enjoy a week break, now I'm starting to really study for the boards. Can't wait to take Step 1 and get it out of the way.

I'm back home in Florida with the family (out of the cold Maine weather) and just relaxing before I hit the books harder than ever before.

There is no experience required! Make sure you check with the front desk from time to time to see when the elections are. AND make sure you make lots of friends...cuz it's a 100% popular vote. Hope this helps...PM me if you have more questions!! :)
