Hi guys, is anyone leaving dec. 27? and i'll be arriving on the island dec 27 at around 4pm. Also, is anyone flying Caribbean Sun? And does anyone know if they will allow the 2 checked pieces at 50lbs each?? I'm thinking yes, but I want to be clear, and i have no way of contacting the airlines since they do not accept international calls. So if anyone has any info it'll be greatly appreciated!!

for carribean star (im assuming its the same as carribean sun), if you purchased a seperate ticket for that flight, then its only 1 50lb bag, if your carribean star flight is a connection from another airline, that previous airlines baggage rules apply, in which case its most likely 2 50lb bags
when your going back home however, since you board the carribean star plane first, theyre rules apply, and you can have 1 50lb bag only

Usually when you are switching airlines your baggage is not transferred automatically. You have to go pick it up, wheel it around to the departure area, and check it in again with the new airline. I would imagine that Caribbean Sun will then hold you to their rules.

I'm flying Carribbean Sun too. I have one ticket through Delta. I checked with Delta and the Carribbean Sun website - as long as you have one ticket you must follow the rules of that airline. Which in my case is Delta's rule of 2 50lb bags. So I guess is all depends on if you have one ticket or separate tickets for each flight.
