I am flying into Dominica on Dec 28th. I also wanted to spend New Year's here in the States, but I also didn't want to live in a run-down shack either.

austin travel is not always the best. i found great prices on orbitz.com

I looked around on the internet and Austin had the best price for me traveling fro newark, NJ. Jan 2 trip with open return which is very convinient for $670

Hey everyone,

I booked my ticket early to fly to Dominica (soon after Christmas). When I emailed the housing department at Ross to tell them when I'd be arriving so a housing tour may be set, they informed me not to come so early. They said that I should leave after January 1. They told me if I came any earlier I'd probably have to stay in a hotel for a few days because most students would not have left their apartments before January 1 since a lot stay on the island waiting for their exams results. I thought the sooner the better, but after hearing this, I rebooked my ticket for Jan.1, so I'll arrive there Jan. 2.

I'm leaving on the 29th of December. I get to spend the night in San Juan and fly to the island on the 30th. Are there any others that will be in San Juan the evening of the 29th? San Juan can be a fun place! Let me know and we'll plan on getting together.

I got the email from the housing office (Genelle Jno Jules) last Tuesday. The welcome packet mentions we can go as early as Dec 28.

ill be leaving LAX on the 29th of DEC. Stay overnight in San Juan and then arrive at the rock on the 30th. Dont want to go any earlier because of the holidays, cant imagine anyone missing xmas.

Oh yeah, bought the tickets through Austin Travels round trip for $970...ouch! Makes me wish i lived on the east coast.
