Is this still the correct booklist for 1st semester, Jan04 class?
http://www.valuemd.com/aucbooks.php
Is this the only books we need? I couldn't find an official booklist on the AUC website.

I was told the list for Jan 04 books is included in the welcome packet, which should be mailed out about 2 months before classes start, beginning of Nov.

Don't buy the History of Medicine textbook(Roy Porter-Greatest Benefit to Mankind). You'll have your choice of 120 or so copies to choose from once you arrive.
DO buy the Clinical Gross Anatomy by Dr. Colborn. The book follows almost exactly what we go through in class(in the same order) and the questions in the end of every chapter are similar to the type of questions/knowledge he will ask on the tests. It is more of a dissection book so you might still need to supplement this with Moore's or Last's. Btw, buy it now.... NOW!!!

And please support valuemd by going through Amazon through this website.

That sounds like a good idea buying the anatomy books before hand to go over. However I would like to get the "official" booklist from somewhere. Do I just have to wait for the welcome packet or is there some link on the website I'm missing?
It seems as if the link above is missing some books? I didn't see Clinical Gross Anatomy by Dr. Colborn.
The new official booklists have not been made available by the schools yet. We've arranged for an independant company to organize the various official booklists from most schools once these lists are made available by the respective schools. We haven't seen the finished lists yet, but this company has a very good reputation for providing excellent service, including shipping directly to the schools, at competetive prices. I hope that they'll live up to their reputation.
I've heard that most books remain the same from one semester to the next, so you'll probably be fine if you want to order early. But I would recommend waiting for the official booklists to be released if you want to play it safe. Hope this helps.

The Clinical Gross Anatomy by Dr. Colborn is one book which you might have a bit of trouble locating once you get down here. The book was already backordered when I left the States and I didn't get the book until a few weeks into semester. I personally haven't seen anyone selling a used copy of this book as it is a fairly good book and hard to come by. As for the other Anatomy books(or any other subject), you should not have any problems finding a used copy from one of the upper semesters.
