Man I don't know about anyone elses experience with MEIO but I think they are Great. :D I have not had any problems from beginning to end. I mean even the finanical aid office is on top of it.

I finished my undergrad work at the University of Illinois (Springfield campus) and every semester I had to make several trips down to correct errors and make sure everything was still on track.

I forgot to write in my second reference for my stafford loan and within 2-3 days MEIO had it back telling me to fill it in, and send it back.

My first semester at U of I I didn't receive my loan check for 3 months. The reason: They told me they would call me when it was in, I even checked in each month and they told me they would call me. Finally I went down there and there it was. It had been there the whole time... at the start of the semester!! :x They didn't know why I wasn't notified, in fact, they didn't believe I wasn't...whatever the problem was it was my fault :-angryk

I still get angry just thinking about it. This is why I went down each semester after that and didn't believe anything they told me over the phone.

Calling MEIO has been good too. I have talked to Cathy, Roxanna, and ***** and others. Every time I called they were friendly and informative. I felt confident about my decision to attend AUC every time I got off the phone with them.

Like I said I don't know about anyone elses experience, but I have to say they have be great to me, and I want to thank them. So if any of you MEIO people are out there, thanks for hard work and know that it is greatly appreciated. :D :D :-wave

Have you received your orientation packet yet? Have you purchased your books already? Where did you buy them if you did?

MEIO has been good to me other than I didn't receive my financial aid packet in about a month and had to call them. Other than that they have been really helpful. Especially Greg in the financial aid offie. Told me everything I needed to know about finacial aid.

oh right another Illini! i am so sick of seeing those damn michigan t-shirts all over campus and i am the only one with bright orange on...it doesn't help that Michigan beat us 54-7 too...hehe MEIO was good when i applied no problems. UI same deal horrible service probably b/c students run the front desks and all the meaningless tasks around the offices and get paid like 5 bucks per hour so they could care less when or if anything gets done right.

GO ILLINI

From losing transcripts, to screwing up financial aid to not knowing if the Dean's letter is personalized or not. It's an absolute nightmare dealing with the MEIO. Other than airport security screeners, I can't think of a more disorganized bunch of retards. BTW, kissing their butts isn't going to help your grades and you're already accepted, but it's good to get a head start for clinicals. You'll want to kiss Phil's the most though!

Bones, what are you talking about? I don't kiss butt...that's why I am going to med school in the carib! Ah yes, I remember fondly the arguements I had with my ecology professor..he would say something stupid like gas should be $10 a gallon to force people to use public transportation...and I could not resist. You all know the type. I had him in three different classes and at the beginning of each he always reminded everyone that he went to Stanford. I finally stumped him one day in class..the next day in class he told the class I was an example of an inappropriate argument due to the fact I didn't site sources. I thought it was a class disscussion. No, I don't kiss butt but I probably should. Life would probably be easier.

rrod yes the Illini...someday we will be proud of them....someday. And yes all the school offices are full of work study students who are usually listening to headphones all through their shift. I had one such student tell me I was in the wrong office (which I wasn't) and directed me across the walk to the next building. As soon as I steped out the door he locked it. Apparently it was too close to 5 to deal with me.

dtanita- Orientation packs should come no sooner then Nov 5th. I am going to buy some books from the Sept class and some for Amazon, but I have to know the book list before any of that can begin. I am surprised how easy the loans went through. Have you guys found a place yet?
