To all the september 2003 entrants....please provide as much feedback as possible about your experiences to date. How are your professors? How are the living conditions etc. Please feel free to be as detailed as you like. thanks...

housing conditions are not too shabby, i would advise looking for a complete concrete structure. i say this b/c my wife and i awoke early one morning covered with termites....enough said. the teachers here are all very good. actually, i was quite suprised at the calibur of teachers here. sure there are some who present material that you may as well learn on your own from the book, but for the most part, the teachers here know their stuff and the present it in a way that seems to promote your greatest understanding and use (for future tests and trials). as for studying, it is unlike anything i've ever had to do before, but still very very do-able. i didn't have to study much to do well in undergrad, but you have to work pretty hard. i study 4 or 5 hours a day while also trying to balance being a newlywed and staying sane at the same time. all i can say is that it is very do-able and the teachers here do nothing but help. i'm off to study now, hope anything/everything i've said may be helpful to you. good luck with anything and everything you do.

Wow, termites...that's exciting. I think I know exactly where you stay since there are only a couple housing options here that aren't concrete. That's good advice!

mamie's at sulphur springs- they came and took the drywall off inside to spray for termites. guess it was effective as they haven't returned, but i was looking at the building the other day and noticed the 2nd and 3rd floors were getting a lot of rot on the outside. i can only imagine what kind of rotting is taking place where i can't see. you can bet i will be out of here by semester's end. until then i will just pray that God will keep the building standing until. if you have any specific questions that i can help you with, shoot them my way.
