Hello Everyone,
For those 1st semester people, i was wondering whether you got a letter saying that if you ordered your books between Dec 1st-Dec 16th with university books online, you could get the books shipped to Saba free of charge. Has anyone ordered them between those dates???
I havent, so do you recommend me just buying them once i reach Saba?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

hey chica,
i went ahead and ordered them a couple days ago.. and yes shipping is free... its really up to you .. i went ahead and ordered it instead of waiting just because i dont know... i dont know if there will be.. i dont know the condition of the books there .. i didnt want to take the chance... books are important... my later plans are since im already there then we can buy it off of the pre 2nd 3rd and so on semester students.. since we will just buy it directly from them once they are done... but since it is our first semester i have no clue whats there i wanted to be safe.. better safe than sorry right??? its up to u.. yes u can get it cheaper there...but will there be available for u... another thing for me is a like brand new books... if it doesnt make a difference for u put a post for ppl selling their books and ask them to hold on to it for u.. whatever u choose.. make it quick the 16th is coming up.. good luck... see u in a couple weeks ;)

I recommend for first semester you just get the books you are going to get from Amazon or barne's and nobles AMSA site, they get to Saba in like a week and a half or less and are less expensive than Ubooks. But, I have to say I did think Ubooks had good customer service and were just as quick. After first then you can buy books from upper semester students fairly easily. Note that some books are rarely sold by most students: any BRS series book, Netters atlas, STARS physiology.
If you get a chance to buy a set of Kaplan books after you get here, do it yesterday. They run $150 used here for the set on average, which is a good price. The practice questions are critical, even though you will be getting a set as part of your Kaplan course in 5th semester, you should start with Kaplan questions as soon as you can.
