Site Visit

I will be attending class during the Fall 2004 semester, but I would like to visit the campus beforehand. How many day (within reason) would you recommend for a campus visit? Does the university arrange most of the site tours, housing, etc... or are you on your own. Please, let me know if you have done something similiar and what I should expect from it.
Maybe I can crash at your place to save money... hey, I'll buy you a beer. :lol: Thanks
