I want o ship my car to Saba next May. Whcih shipping company do I use? What kind of paperwork involved? Suggestions, please.
Hey Brava,
I have two friends who shipped cars with ******* Free Exports in Florida. It is owned by someone from Saba. (When you get to the island, you will see what a common name ******* is.) Their website is:
http://www.hassellfree.net/
Email them and let them know that you are a student. I had an encounter with them once and they were very helpful.
Good luck.

So what's the update with this? How much is it going to cost? How does insurance work on something like this? Is there a dealership where you can take it in for oil change/repairs?
I thought about doing this, but I didn't know if people did it. What do people normally use for transportation other than the good ol' two feet?

I would only ship a car down there if it is already a junker, or if you plan on selling it when you leave the island. The island life is hard on cars. You will get dents and rust. There are two car mechanics on the island. The charge reasonable prices for oil changes and tire repairs. If you need something major done, it will cost you.
I recommend buying a car when you get there. There are always cars available from 600-3000 or more (US$).
