I do not doubt that there are some programs in family medicine that dont take foreign grads. But you seriously need to go to websites like scutwork.com and look at the match results for the last 3 years. Family medicine programs in general have huge numbers of openings after the primary match. For the Record, Univeristy of Pennsylvania, Cleveland Clinic, and MayoClinic just to name a few big names all take foreign grads into family medicine. I know that some family medicine programs will fill their spots in the scramble with US grads with barely passing scores before they take a foreign grad. Hey guess what, if that is the case do you really want to go to that program anyway? Interviews are pouring in for me to just about every family medicine program to which I have applied. I know the US grads will always have the first shot but you should have no problem getting a residency just dont have your heart set on just one program. There are hundreds of family medicine programs out there. Best of Luck, Scott Jones DC MS IV
